Kath has been in education for 25 years, beginning her teaching career in London as a teacher of PE Dance and English. She progressed to Head of PE in Bristol before progressing to Faculty Leader. Kath has had extensive leadership responsibility including leader of pastoral care, whole school teaching and learning, and behaviour for learning. She has also been a Director of Post 16 for many years. Personally, Kath has competed at county and national level as an athlete in triathlon and rowing. Kath enjoys all aspects of travel both personally and with family, and has many expeditions under her belt.
As Interim Director in CLF Post 16, Kath has responsibility for Behaviour and safety as well as safeguarding. Kath has strategic responsibility for Post 16 provision across the CLF. Kath Believes in fulfilling potential and will work tirelessly to raise standards and ensure each and every student maximises their progress to succeed.
Andy began teaching 12 years ago in Music & the Expressive Arts. He gained his first head of department role at Oldfield School in 2006 then moved to a larger department in Bristol Brunel Academy in 2009 before securing a post as Head of Expressive Arts. In 2013 he was appointed to BBA’s Extended Senior Leadership Team. Andy’s contribution to developing the Arts and creativity within the CLF has been substantial, as has his influence to drive forward outstanding levels of Teaching & Learning.
As an Assistant Director in the CLF Post 16, Andy has responsibility for enrichment, CIAG (careers, information, advice and guidance), 4-19 pathways, as well as marketing/branding. Good grades don’t always equal success. However, good grades combined with an outstanding support network underpinning them will go a long way. This is what the CLF Post 16 will provide. Andy will also lead Post 16 provision at Bristol Brunel Academy.
