Course Overview

Year 1
The aim of the first year is to explore and develop a portfolio of techniques and artistic approaches based on a variety of starting points, concepts, themes or an issue. You will work in two or more of the following areas: Fine Art, Graphic Communication, Textile Design, 3D design, Photography.
Year 2
Component 1: This is a personal practical investigation into an idea, issue, concept or theme, supported by written material. The investigation must show clear development from initial intentions leading to a finished outcome or series of outcomes.
Component 2: Externally set assignment.


Many students progress to Art Foundation courses or to higher education in a wide variety of fields from Product Design to Fine Art.
