Would you like to go into product design, aerospace, manufacturing, electronics, electrical engineering, or the automotive industry as a project leader or designer? Engineering covers a broad variety of roles involving the application of scientific principles and practical knowledge to transform ideas and materials into products and systems safely and support them during their lifetime.

This qualification has a focus on a broad range of engineering specialist areas. The BTEC National inEngineering uses a combination of assessment styles to give you the confidence required to apply your knowledge to succeed in the workplace – and have the study skills to continue learning on higher education courses and throughout your career. The range of vocational assessments – both practical and written – means you will be able to showcase your learning and achievements to best effect when you take the next step, whether that’s supporting applications to higher education courses or potential employers.
